Mum
I was in my first year of university when my mother told me she had cancer. I had just moved to a new city, was living on my own for the first time- and then this news threw me completely off balance. One thing about photography school is that the project requirements are very open-ended, for this one it was simply one word; journey. Photographed from the day after the diagnosis, to chemotherapy appointments, the shaving of her head, and the hopeful future, Mum is a photographic series created in hopes to shine a light on a dark situation, and to serve as a time capsule for when days are better.
